Here we go again ..
I’m sure you all remember the ephedra ban not that long ago, right? Well it’s dejavu time .. only instead of ephedra, it’s prohormones. In light of the recent FDA raids of large distributors such as BodyBuilding.com’s warehouse in Idaho; and their accusations of companies such as American Cellular Labs for “lacing” prohormones with illegal steroids, I thought it’s time we tried to get some answers.
An employee at a local, independently owned supplement shop said “It’s only a matter of time, we knew it was coming, now they’re actually following through with their claims”. “What the FDA doesn’t understand is that by banning prohormones and the like, they aren’t fixing the problem. They are worried about the highschooler who wants to get big, what I don’t think they quite get is that if they want steroids, they go right to the real thing. Kids don’t want to spend all of the money and time messing with designers when they can easily get the real thing. Shit, search google, tell me how many websites you can find selling steroids, I bet it’s even greater than the number selling these designers”.
It’s true. I just did a simple google search for “steroids” and got an astounding 13.5 million webpages. Granted, they aren’t all selling them, but many are. I then searched for “pro hormones” and got a mere 50,700 pages. That’s more than 13,000,000 less. Wow.
Besides, doesn’t the federal government have bigger issues to deal with? If they put this much effort into fixing the economy, the time and resources would be better spent. This is our tax money that’s being wasted. My rant on our shitty government, especially now with this idiot in office, is for another time.
